Dieter Brummer arrested following after-party brawl

Former Home and Away star Dieter Brummer has been arrested after drunkenly wrestling with guards at a Logie after party at the Crown, the Herald Sun reports.

The 34-year-old Underbelly star is allegedly facing five criminal charges after an angry outburst at last night's Logies.

He was there to celebrate the success of the Channel Nine drama, and made appearances at both the TV Week and Channel Nine after parties where he was reportedly asked to leave at about 2.30am.

Witnesses told the Herald Sun Brummer started an argument with security, who were forced to pull him to the floor to control his angry outburst.

A Victoria Police Spokeswoman confirmed to the Herald Sun a 34-year-old from Bondi North had been charged with intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury, unlawful assault, behaving in a riotous manner, and being drunk in a public place.

The man was taken from Crown Casino at 2.25am to Prahran police station to be charged.

He will appear before Melbourne Magistrates Court on August 29.

Programs and personalities from the Seven network swept last night's Logies, winning seven awards.
