Police on hunt for thief who stole Melbourne girl's guinea pig

Police are searching for a child who they believe stole a guinea pig from the front yard of a Melbourne home.

Little Bianca and her beloved Bobby were playing in the front yard of the Collier Crescent property around 8am Saturday.

When she came back just moments later, Bobby was gone.

Instead, the heartbroken youngster found a red bike with a gold helmet in her yard.

Victoria police now believe that another child may be responsible for the (guinea) pig-napping.

“Our priority in this case is getting Bobby home safe and well”, Senior Constable Ashleigh Thompson

Investigators would like to speak to the owner of the red bike and helmet, who they believe can assist with their enquiries.
