Two injured in tram stop crash in Melbourne CBD
Two people have been injured after a car slammed into a tram stop in Melbourne.
Just after 4am on Monday morning, a car was travelling west along Flinders Street in Melbourne's CBD when the driver is said to have lost control of the vehicle, slamming into a tram stop outside Flinders Street Station.
Emergency crews worked quickly to free the driver and his two passengers.
The two passengers were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Miraculously, the driver walked away from the incident and wasn't required to go to hospital.

Sergeant Alex Wallace said drivers need to take more care.
"The roads are wet, we've had wet weather so people just need to take a lot more care with what they're doing," he said.
Police are now investigating whether speed was a factor.
The scene has now been cleared ahead of the peak hour rush.
