'We just want her to come home': Husband of missing Victoria woman begs for her safe return

The family of missing Victoria mum Elisa Curry "just want her to come home".

As the search for the mother of three who disappeared at the weekend enters another day, her husband made a heartfelt plea for her safe return.

Mrs Curry went missing from Aireys Inlet, a small town near the Great Ocean Road, and widespread land and air searches have so far failed to find her.

"If anyone has seen anything or heard anything, can you please, please call police, please call triple-0," David Curry told reporters on Tuesday.

"I, and my kids, we just want her to come home.

"Lisa, if you're out there can you please contact us? If anyone has seen anything can you please contact us."

Police initially believed the 42-year-old went for a run with her dog at 10.30pm on Saturday, but that is now unclear.

Her black labrador was believed to have been with her but last night was found in a neighbour's backyard, uninjured.

Police and family members say Mrs Curry's disappearance is out of character.

She is described as Caucasian, about 167cm tall, with an athletic build, brown eyes and brown shoulder-length hair.

It is not known what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

Search and rescue police, the air wing, water police, and officers on dirt bikes and horses are searching the Great Otway National Park and waters off the southwest coast.

State Emergency Service volunteers and Parks Victoria staff are also helping search tracks and bushland within a 20 kilometre radius of Aireys Inlet.
