AFL stripper strife: Grand Final incident prompts investigation

The AFL and the Melbourne Cricket Club have been left red-faced after a stripper undressed in a corporate box flashing the crowd at the weekend's AFL grand final.

Heather McCartney, 26, who performed at the AFL Grand Final has been fined after spending a night in jail.

She allegedly lashed out at police who tried to arrest her shortly after the final whistle at the MCG.

The Scottish model said she just got carried away during one of the biggest games of the year.

From the comfort of a corporate box McCartney performed an explicit post-game show for a group of friends.

Police finally stepped in after she tried to climb out of the corporate box’s window, completely naked.

Resisting arrest, she abused, hit out at, and bit police.

“F--k off, I don’t have to tell you anything. You f---ing retard,” she shouted before assaulting one of the officers. She then attacked another officer with a high heel.

She subsequently spent the night at Melbourne Remand Centre and pleaded guilty to a string of charges including acting in an indecent manner.

McCartney was fined $300 without conviction.

A spokesperson for the Melbourne Cricket Club said Victoria Police are investigating.

"From the evidence available, we are very disappointed ... and are taking the matter seriously,” Shane Brown told The Herald Sun.
