Former Liberal MP Sophie Mirabella mobbed by protesters
Police escorted former Liberal MP Sophie Mirabella out of a lecture at Melbourne University today after it was disrupted by protesters.
Mrs Mirabella was attending the university to give a lecture on politics when she was confronted by a group of around 20 protesters.
Amateur video taken at the scene shows Ms Mirabella being ushered through the scrum of protesters chanting on megaphones.

The Socialist Alliance - the group which 'jostled' and 'abused' Foreign Minister Julie Bishop during recent protests over proposed cuts to higher education funding - is believed to be behind the incident.
The video, taken on mobile phone and uploaded to YouTube, shows police pulling students away from Mrs Mirabella as she is evacuated from the lecture theatre.

Melbourne University has confirmed Ms Mirabella was escorted off campus by police.
No one was injured in the incident, which happened at around 10am.
