Vehicle used as 'battering ram' in jewelry store robbery at Tecumseh Mall, police say
Windsor police are looking for two suspects after a jewelry store at Tecumseh Mall was robbed overnight.
According to police, a vehicle was used as a "battering ram" to enter the mall and access a jewelry store.
Officers responded around 4 a.m. Tuesday morning and say they discovered damage to the front of the building and a "substantial" amount of jewelry missing, though no one was injured.
Windsor police said that just after 4 a.m., they received a call for a vehicle fire in the 2600 block of Lauzon Road and "learned that this was the vehicle used in the break and enter."

The mall was open on Tuesday, though one entrance was taped off.
Police are now looking for two suspects, one described only as a male wearing dark clothing, while another is a male with dark clothing and wearing a traffic vest.
Police ask anyone living in the area to check their dash camera or surveillance footage for any evidence related to the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Windsor Police Service target base unit or CrimeStoppers to remain anonymous.
