Two men charged with murder after ex-bikie found dead in BMW

Two men have been charged over the alleged murder of ex-Rebels bikie gang member Ricky Ciano whose body was found abandoned in a luxury car in central west NSW.

Police allege the men gave Mr Ciano a cocktail of prescription and prohibited drugs, which were at fatal levels, and then drove him to Duckmaloi – west of Sydney – where they abandoned his car with his body inside.

Emergency services located the 35-year-old’s body in a white 2015 model BMW M3 sedan on a roadside in Duckmaloi, 15km from Oberon in the state’s Central Tablehands, on Valentine’s Day last year.

The Queensland man had been visiting Sydney and was reported missing the day before when he could not be contacted by family.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad established Strike Force Kiaka to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mr Ciano’s death.

After extensive investigations, two men – aged 33 and 44 – were arrested at a correctional facility at Silverwater on Thursday.

Both men were remanded in custody to appear at Lithgow Local Court on Friday.
