Two women are dead after a car crashed into a building at a hospital in Sydney’s west.

A 40-year-old pedestrian was killed when a car ploughed into her after it first reversed into another vehicle at Nepean Hospital in Kingswood.

It’s understood the driver in her 60s may have experienced a medical episode and was trying to leave the carpark when the incident occurred on about 3.20pm on Thursday.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene to help the injured.

Paramedics worked desperately on both women, but neither could not be saved, a NSW Police spokesperson said.

Another woman in the car that was reversed into was unharmed. The woman in her 30s was treated by hospital staff for shock.

Passers-by expressed their horror.

“She was just walking and she didn’t know it was going to be her final moments,” a witness said.

“So I think that’s really sad.”

The wreckage of the car was left behind after it ran into a brick wall.
