Man winds in enormous marlin from his kayak
A Tweed Heads man has made a miraculous catch – hooking in a huge marlin from his kayak.
Chris Carney was fishing off Fidos Reef on Friday when he spotted the giant fish.
It took him 30 minutes to reel in his catch, saying the scariest part was removing the hook without getting speared.
After the monster effort to land the marlin, Mr Carney decided to set the marlin free.
The keen fisherman caught the entire moment on camera, and said it is the second marlin he has caught in a fortnight.
