A former TV star who failed to appear in court on serious assault charges has been arrested.

Orpheus Pledger, a former Home and Away actor, was due to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday to confront allegations he assaulted a woman.

But he allegedly failed to show up, with police issuing a warrant for the 30-year-old man.

“Please be advised that Orpheus Pledger, who was wanted on warrant, has been arrested,” police said in a statement on Thursday.

Mr Pledger starred in the popular soap opera Neighbours in 2011.

He then joined the cast of Home and Away in 2016 where he played Mason Morgan for three years.

Mr Pledger also appeared on the reality show SAS Australia in 2022.
