Trump markets himself as an outsider in new campaign ad: ‘Embrace the label’
Former President Trump released a new campaign advertisement on his Truth Social site where he calls himself an outsider and tells supporters to embrace being one too.
“Treat the word ‘impossible’ as nothing more than motivation. Relish the opportunity to be an outsider and embrace that label,” Trump said in the video, which showed different images and clips of him in office. “Being an outsider is fine, embrace the label because it’s the outsiders who change the world and who make a real and lasting difference.”
Despite mounting legal concerns, Trump is on track to becoming the GOP nominee for the upcoming presidential election. He easily won the Iowa caucuses and secured 54.5 percent of the vote in New Hampshire, according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ.
He now has set his sights on Nevada, as he appears on the state’s caucus ballot this week before heading to South Carolina for the Feb. 24 primary in his only remaining competitor, Nikki Haley’s home state.
