Transgender teen shares how she overcame bullying

14-year-old Corey Maison is a transgender teen, and she's shared her experiences with bullying in a video for The Bully Project.

She talks about how she was born a boy, but always loved painting her nails and wearing mum's high heels. Sadly, her peers frequently bullied her and one classmate even told her she should kill herself because no one would miss her.

She eventually sought medical help to transition and go through puberty as a girl. She also now attends a LGBT-inclusive school, playing on the girls soccer team as well as using the girls' locker rooms and bathrooms.

We met Corey Maison last year when her mother shared this heartwarming reaction of the teen receiving her first dose of hormone pills -- which she has described as "the best day of her life.

The video ends on a positive note, however -- with Corey telling all those who have been bullied that it's only temporary, and everything will be okay.

“You are incredible, you are beautiful, you are worthy and you are loved.”
