Toddler dies after being crushed on field
A two-year-old boy has died after he was crushed by a piece of equipment at a sporting oval on NSW’s mid north coast.
The young child was at Trad oval on Albatross Way in Old Bar near Taree, just before 2pm on Sunday when the piece of equipment fell on him.
A NSW police spokesman said the boy’s father called for help with nearby people coming to assist with CPR.
The child died a short time later, police said.
Police will prepare a report for the NSW coroner.
