Tiahleigh Palmer's foster brother Trent Thorburn bashed twice in prison: reports
Trent Thorburn has reportedly been bashed twice in prison, since he was charged with having an incestuous relationship with slain schoolgirl Tiahleigh Palmer.
The Courier Mail reports Thorburn was assaulted as other inmates shouted “pretty boy” and “kill him” while cheering on the alleged attackers.
The 19-year-old dancer has been in custody since Tuesday, along with his father, mother and brother.
His father, Rick Thorburn, Tiahleigh’s foster father, is accused of murdering the 12-year-old after learning his son had been having sex with the girl in their Chambers Flat home.
Police will allege Rick Thorburn killed Tiahleigh, fearing his son would go to jail.
The Courier Mail reports paramedics were called to Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre on Sunday, after one of Trent Thorburn’s alleged attackers was injured during an altercation with prison guards.
It’s reported inmates were encouraging each other to bash Thorburn on site.
Thorburn is reportedly being housed in an area of the jail for high-risk prisoners, which include accused pedophiles and high-profile inmates.
Last week Thorburn was charged with incest, two counts of perjury and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
It’s believed Thorburn sustained minor injuries to his face and neck during the attacks.
Tiahleigh was reported missing on October 30.
Rick Thorburn allegedly told police he had dropped his foster daughter outside school that morning and she did not come home.
