Trio charged over kangaroo attack

Three teens have been charged over a video of a kangaroo being bashed with the wooden handle of an axe.

It’s alleged the kangaroo was hit “multiple times” with the axe handle and the incident was filmed on a phone.

Three Western Australian teens will face court over the video, which police said occurred between March 1-7.

A 17-year-old boy from Brigadoon and an 18-year-old from Midland have each been issued one charge of Cruelty to Animals. The pair will face court at a later date.

An 18-year-old from Swan view was also charged with Cruelty to Animals.

He’s due to face court on May 10.
