Poseidon makes key appointments

Poseidon Nickel has announced three senior staff appointments as it ramps up its plans to bring three historic nickel projects back into production.

John Croall has been appointed general manager of the company's Lake Johnston project.

A mining engineer with 30 years industry experience including two as a resident manager of Lake Johnston, Mr Croall will be responsible for turning the asset into a fully operational mine.

Robert Boston has been named general manager of corporate, commercial and legal.

Mr Boston has been a consultant to the company since 2012. The commerce, law and finance graduate has previously held roles with BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto.

Vanessa Hughes has been appointed manager of people and culture. The HR professional has previously held roles with Millenium Minerals and Integra Mining.

Managing director and chief executive David Singleton said the company looked forward to the three new professionals making outstanding contributions to its projects.

The company is working to the historic Mt Windarra nickel project back into production as well as it recently acquired Lake Johnston and Black Swan assets.

Poseidon shares were up half a cent, or 4 per cent, to 13 cents at 8.25am.
