QWest, Paterson join forces

QWest Property Services, led by former Peet chief executive Warwick Hemsley, will merge with valuations firm Paterson Property Valuers to create QWest Paterson.

Mr Hemsley, who will chair the new group, said the merger would allow the new business to provide additional property services to clients while maintaining the personalised nature of a small firm.

Stuart Paterson, who founded Paterson Property Consultants in 1993, will take on the role of executive director valuations and QWest co-founder Rowan Hemsley will be a director.

QWest was established in January 2014 to provide advice to operators in WA's property market.

"Accurate property advice is so important, particularly as the market in WA is experiencing reduced growth due to the significant slowdown in the mining sector," Mr Hemsley said.

"Stuart has over 40 years of experience in the valuations business and will bring extensive knowledge and expertise to the table.

"In fact, between myself, Stuart and Rowan we have a combined 90 years of property industry experience under our belt."
