Woman cut from Beechboro car wreck

A 32-year-old woman had to be cut out of her car and rushed to hospital last night after a serious crash in Beechboro.

About 8.10pm, a blue Hyundai hatchback was travelling north along Beechboro Road when it collided with a green Toyota Starlet at the intersection of Reid Highway.

Firefighters rushed to the scene to free the 32-year-old woman from the Toyota.

She was taken to Swan Districts Hospital with serious injuries and was later transferred to Royal Perth Hospital.

Her 14-month-old son was unharmed.

The 34-year-old female driver of the Hyundai was taken to Swan Districts Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw either vehicle before the crash.
