Massive fuel theft from petrol station

Two men have been charged with stealing more than $11,000 worth of fuel from a Maddington petrol station.

The charges resulted from a raid on an Orange Grove Property on Friday.

During the search of the Grant Street property an electric generator, trailer and diesel fuel, drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized by police.

A police spokesperson said it would be alleged two offenders stole more than 7000 litres of fuel during the past week on two separate occasions.

The diesel fuel had an estimated value of $11,980.

"A number of other stealing offences committed over a number of months in suburbs including Maddington, Roleystone, Lynwood, Armadale and Orange Grove were identified," the spokesperson said.

A 36-year-old Orange Grove man was charged with eight counts of stealing and is also facing drugs and weapons charges.

A 30-year-old man, also from Orange Grove was charged with seven counts of stealing.

Both will appear in the Armadale Magistrate's Court on June 27.
