Bike path commitment on track

Manjimup will benefit from the Federal Government’s commitment to cycle paths in WA.

A total of $80,500 will be allocated to the Manjimup Shire Council for cycling paths to connect schools.

The funding will be for the construction of two concrete shared paths along Johnson Street from the Graphite Road intersection through to Collier Street and on Graphite Road from Finch Street to the access way of SWIT.

Warren Blackwood MLA Terry Redman said cycling had numerous health benefits, as well as reducing the community’s carbon footprint created by conventional transport.
