Match Report: Bunbury v Harvey Bulls

Veteran Bull Mark Cherubino was in good form for Harvey.

A seven-goal last term from a valiant Bunbury was not enough to overrun the Harvey Bulls, who defeated the Bulldogs by 28 points at Harvey Recreation Ground on Sunday.

For the second straight week Bulls' recruit Daniel Leishman was best on ground as the Harvey Bulls recorded a 14.16 (100) to 11.6 (72) victory.

The Bulldogs' hierarchy would be pleased with the performance, especially with the league debuts of teenagers Harry Creasey and Aiden Clarke.

Creasey showed poise and skill beyond his years from the first bounce and was his side's best in the loss, while Clarke was exceptional with his run and carry across the ground.

For the Bulls it was a case of the usual suspects, with Leishman, co-captain Josh Krispyn and Mark Cherubino continuing their fine starts to the season.

Leishman as usual looked as if he brought his own football, constantly clearing congestion to deliver for his forwards with consummate ease.
