Excitement mounts as barriers drawn for Cup

Tick Tick Bloom surges down the outside for ace jockey William Pike to claim another feather to her cap to crash past Cyber Crime (obscured on inside) and Senhor Da Gama (blue colours) in the AHA Cup (2019m) at Bunbury last Sunday week

The barrier draw for Thursday's $120,000 XXX Gold Bunbury Cup took place this morning at the Bunbury Turf Club, with Arthur Mortimer’s tough gelding, Kirov Boy, to jump from barrier one in the 2200 metre race.

Early favourite, the Adam Durrant-trained Tick Tick Bloom, who scored a good win in the Prince of Wales-Bunbury AHA Cup, drew barrier 10, while one of the best local chances, the Rob Witten-trained Be So Ryski drew the outside barrier 12.
