Dunsborough and Yallingup Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host a gala ball in May to raise funds for local charities.

The Breakfast at Tiffany's-themed ball will be a celebration of community, according to the chamber's Pauline Vukelic, who said black tie and ball gowns were the style of the evening.

"It's a real ball, there's no raffles, no auctions," she said.

"It's all about people celebrating how blessed our life is.

"The South West is a place where people come to pursue their dreams and Breakfast at Tiffany's is kind of the epitome of elegance."

Held at Aravina Estate, the South West Symphony orchestra will entertain guests on the night with homegrown swing-jazz band Local Vintage also set to take the stage.

Mrs Vukelic said Aravina was the perfect location for the ball, with the "stunning" interior fitting for the theme.

"It's such a beautiful room in order to hold such an elegant event," she said.

"It's going back to the old cabaret style."

The ball will be held from 6.30pm to midnight on Saturday, May 23.

Tickets cost $200 a person and are expected to be available from next weekend on the chamber's website.
