Shark victim Sean Pollard home

Shark attack victim Sean Pollard is back at home and has posted a picture of himself with girlfriend Claire Oakford.

"Back at home and doing as well as can be," says the message on the picture.

Mr Pollard suffered horrific injuries when he was attacked by two sharks off Esperance in October.

He lost both hands and part of an arm in the attack and has undergone at least two operations.

After the second operation last month, Mr Pollard's uncle Kim Fergusson said the medical team was happy with the outcome.

"Sean's traumatic injuries are being closely monitored by the medical team at Royal Perth Hospital with the recovery plan from each procedure requiring the intervention of many medical professionals," Mr Fergusson said.

"What is aiding Sean's recovery is his physical fitness, as a result of his healthy lifestyle and active sporting interests.

"However, his injuries are severe so there will be a long road ahead."

Friends on Facebook have praised his courage.

A Facebook page has been set up to raise funds for his recovery.
