$18m Eaton, Treendale bridge pledge from Libs

A re-elected Liberal Government will spend $18m building a bridge over the Collie River, connecting the suburbs of Eaton and Treendale, Transport Minister Troy Buswell said today.

The new bridge, estimated to cost about $24m, will cut travel times, reduce emergency response times and provide better access to services, he said.

Main Roads would manage the significant works, which would begin in 2015 and construction of the bridge would begin in 2016.
