The South West has awoken to the aftermath of a second storm that was not as big as the weather bureaus predicted.

Most of the damage happened in the Augusta, Margaret River area with more than 6000 properties affected in the storm.

Thirty wires were brought down in the last storm front compared with nearly 800 power lines, streetlight wires and individual customer service lines on Sunday.
