Donation helps classroom get connected
More than 80 new laptop computers have been donated to Roebourne Primary School through the One Education program.
The initiative was designed to equalise and enhance the classroom experience for students in regional and disadvantaged areas.
The XO laptop technology donated by Sodexo are modern child-friendly devices, which function as both a laptop and touch screen tablet, designed to accommodate multiple educational activities.
School principal Clinton Wearing said students from kindergarten through to Year 2 will use the innovative XO devices.
Classrooms will be equipped with shared docking stations and laptops programmed to operate securely within the school's network.
