Kimberley athletes make a splash

The February Dash and Splash biathlon took place on Friday, February 7, after a break in January, with some strong performances across the board.

In the long course male event, Joe Handscombe triumphed for the fourth consecutive time, keeping up his 100 per cent record. Mitch Castellarin came in second.

In the female long course race Emma Gorman was first over the whitewash, with Lynne Duffy in second.

In the male short course, Damion Webb put in a strong showing at the first time of asking to win.

Sally-Anne Smith prevailed in the female short course, with Hilary Smale runner-up.

Finally, in the junior events Riley Waters and Jorja Smith took out first place, while in the team event Louis Incerti and Emily Wicks picked up the victory.
