Car flipped over in collision
A two-car crash which saw a ute flipped onto its roof forced police to close part of Burt Street yesterday.
The crash occurred about 9am yesterday at the intersection of Burt and Ivanhoe streets.
The ute collided with an oncoming four-wheel-drive, with the impact flipping the vehicle over in the middle of the intersection.
A male driver and female passenger were retrieved from the wreck by emergency service personnel, with both suffering minor injuries.
The woman was taken to Kalgoorlie Hospital for treatment, while the man was briefly held in the back of a police van after he allegedly failed a preliminary breath test.
Police were investigating the cause of the crash yesterday.
