Second drug raid on deli

Police have seized drugs from a Rangeway delicatessen for the second time in as many weeks.

Detective Sergeant Graeme Doran said Geraldton detectives and the volume crime team executed a search warrant today and confiscated about 30 grams of cannabis, along with a small amount of LSD and smoking paraphernalia.

He said police had acted on a tip-off from the public.

"We just want to instil public confidence and let them know that the information that is supplied to us, we will act on, and eventually these people will get the message that it's completely unacceptable to be dealing drugs," he said.

A 43-year-old Rangeway man has been charged with possessing cannabis with the intent to sell/supply and was denied bail to appear in Geraldton Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Det Sgt Doran said officers had two weeks ago seized 150 grams of cannabis, stolen property and $4000 cash from the same property.

Police are continuing their investigations.
