Teacher duped in classroom prank

A teacher who punishes students by making them answer their mobiles on speaker has been subjected to an embarrassing April Fools Day prank.

Students filmed the stunt, which was carried in a US classroom last week.

The YouTube video shows a girl in class answer her mobile phone to find the caller was from the Pregnancy Resource Centre.

In front of the professor and the entire class, the caller says: "I've called to tell you the test results have come back positive".

The shocked teacher, who had earlier been smugly watching the girl squirm, quickly tells her to "shut down" the call.

The US professor can be seen on the video trying to apologise to the girl while covering his face in embarrassment.

Everyone else in the class is aware of the prank and continue to play along, pretending to be shocked.

The student tells the teacher:

"It's ok, I've been expecting this and I already know what I'm going to name the baby," she tells he shocked professor. "The first name will be April and the middle name will be Fools."

The teacher suddenly realises he's been had and begins to laugh with the rest of the class.

He regains his composure and says: "I will treasure that. Bonus points."
