Creation for Pav takes the cake

Cake artist Helene Feasey was enjoying a well-earned glass of wine last night after spending her weekend in a race against the clock to complete her latest creation.

And while the cake wasn't the biggest she's ever made, it was for a person with the biggest profile.

Ms Feasey presented the 50cm customised PAV-lova cake to Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich ahead of his 300th game against Geelong at Patersons Stadium on Saturday night.

The mudcake, which used two dozen eggs and 5kg of chocolate, took about 35 hours to make.
