Boxing Day drowning tragedy
A woman who was pulled unconscious from the water at Trigg Point this afternoon has died.
The 28-year-old was swimming outside the patrolled area when she got into difficulty at about 2.20pm.
It is understood her husband and another family member were with the woman and raised the alarm.
Surf lifesavers attempted to resuscitate her until ambulance paramedics arrived. She was taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
