N *icole Trunfio *has hit back at claims of "diva antics" on the set of Foxtel's new model search series The Face Australia.
Reports emerged this week that the 28-year-old *Australind *-raised supermodel, who appears as a mentor on the FOX8 series alongside British supermodel *Naomi Campbell *and fellow Aussie beauty *Cheyenne Tozzi *, was a "nightmare" to work with and that her "bad behaviour" on set saw her snubbed from appearing on season two of The Face UK.
Trunfio rubbished the rumours, which were revealed by an "insider" to Britain's Daily Mail.
"I have never even motioned that I wanted to do anything with (Campbell) again, let alone in the UK. I feel like it's definitely a retaliation from her camp," Trunfio told _AAA Weekend _in Sydney ahead of her appearance at the ASTRA Awards on Thursday night where she wowed in a sheer Dolce & Gabbana dress.
"What's most important to me is that people know what I'm like. I don't really have to justify myself.
"Everyone on set knows me, the cameraman, the crew, the hair and make-up people, the production people . . . everyone who has been working with me since I was 16 knows I am super professional. I've never been late, I'm a dream to work with. So there's nothing. I don't feel the need to say anything."
While Trunfio signalled she did not want to draw out her tensions with Campbell beyond the show, she admitted to feeling shocked at how the notoriously temperamental supermodel had lashed out at her during filming.
"I thought in the beginning: 'Is this for TV?' But then the producer came up to me and was like, 'It's real'. I'd seen her do that before on The Face (UK) but I had no idea that was real," she said.
"I think for me, having that really grounded upbringing, and also dealing with bullying at school, it's so high school. I think it's my duty to show people that you can stand up for yourself and you don't need to have to do it in an aggressive way."
Trunfio also touched on the death of *Mick Jagger *'s fashion designer girlfriend, *L'Wren Scott *, which has sent shockwaves through the celebrity fashion circuit after the 49-year-old was found dead at her Manhattan apartment earlier this week.
"She was such a kind soul, I looked up to her," she said. "She had a relationship with someone like Mick, who travels all the time, and I can relate to that with my boyfriend ( *Gary Clark Jr *). She was just so beautiful. I never thought that would happen . . . I mean it's so tragic."
"I know that life is gruelling sometimes being in the public eye but it's really important for people to stay true to who they are and always make sure that family are nearby because they're the people who don't have any ulterior motives."
