From whale watching off the coast of Dunsborough to rock climbing in Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park, Natalie Imbruglia has spent the last week lapping up everything the South West has to offer.

In-between putting the finishing touches on her fifth studio album and preparing to launch her own skincare line, the London-based actress and singer has enjoyed taking time off work to get to know the Margaret River region as a guest of Tourism WA.

"It's been amazing, I've had the best time," Imbruglia told AAA Weekend of her trip, which has also seen her indulge in some wine tasting at Fraser Gallop Winery while participating in a Margaret River Discovery Company tour this week.

"It's just been wonderful to get to know this area because I've not been here before."

The WA visit has provided a much-needed chance for the Sydney-born entertainer to reconnect with her pregnant sister, Michelle Imbruglia.

"It's rare that there's an opportunity when I come home that she's not working so because she's on maternity leave and available I was like 'You're coming to Perth for a few days'," the 39-year-old said.

"So we're getting some really good quality time together, which is really unusual and it's been amazing really."

Imbruglia will return to Perth to help WA company Kailis celebrate their 40th anniversary with the launch of their Enlightenment collection on Monday evening at an intimate VIP dinner at Fraser's Restaurant in Kings Park.

"I just think it's such a wonderful company," Imbruglia said of her partnership with Kailis.

"I love that it's a family business and we've had such a great collaboration creatively.

"They're so great to work with and I just absolutely love the jewellery."
