Fans back SA mum victory

My Kitchen Rules fans are rejoicing after South Australian mums Bree May and Jessica Liebich were crowned champions of the reality TV series.

MKR won Tuesday night' TV ratings with 2.596 million viewers watching when Bree and Liebich won the grand final.

There had been calls to boycott the show after the pair's rivals, West Australians Chloe James and Kelly Ramsay secured a place in the final. On social media fans claimed Chloe and Kelly were bullys and the show was rigged.

But viewers tuned in to watch Bree and Jessica beat the WA trash talkers by just two points.

After the show thousands of fans took to MKR's Facebook page to share their opinions and most were relieved the mums had won.

"You deserve to win girls - we are so proud of all your efforts - Chloe an Kelly do need to keep certain objections to themselves - karma works in mysterious ways," Kaz Chadbourne wrote.

Still some fans were convinced that the whole show was a set up.

"What a set-up," Sami Getawan wrote. "Neither of those teams deserved to be in the final which is exactly why I didn't watch."

"It's all rigged but just glad the mums won, besides I'm over that show, too many nasty ones get chosen. I know it's for the ratings won't be bothered anymore," Shirley Denholm wrote.

Rachael Taylor added some perspective: "You all need to remember, it's drama for ratings and therefore, it's not real. The same deal happened in 2013 when they had those `spice girls' on. Do you really expect everything to be rainbows, unicorns and happiness?"
