Bieber's mother prays for singer
Justin Bieber's mother Pattie Mallette "prays for him every day".
The 19-year-old Canadian singer has been embroiled in controversy for more than a year, and Mallette is hoping a higher power will intervene in her son's life, according to British newspaper The Sun.
"I think so many people go into the entertainment industry with amazing Christian roots and they go in with the right morals, and they get influenced somehow," she said.
"I think it's important to pray for leaders and people of influence, and God has put [Justin] in this place of influence.
"I ask that people keep me and Justin in their minds.
"I pray for him every day."
Bieber attracted criticism on a recent tour of Australia after allegedly spraying graffiti on a hotel wall.
It was also alleged he tagged the wall of a Rio de Janeiro hotel and failed to pay a bill in a Buenos Aires nightclub while on tour in South America, in 2013.
Last Tuesday police raided his Los Angeles home, looking for evidence that he had been involved in an egg attack that had caused $US20,000 ($A22,773.86) of damage to a neighbour's home.
On Monday night Bieber reportedly spent $US75,000 at Miami strip club King of Diamonds. He was celebrating rapper Lil Scrappy's birthday.
