Ke$ha checks in

She only entered rehab on Friday but Ke$ha's producer Dr Luke is already being blamed for the singer's eating disorder.

The 23-year-old was last week admitted to the Timberline Knolls treatment centre near Chicago to get help for an eating disorder - the same facility where pop star Demi Lovato sought treatment for her eating disorder and addiction issues in 2010.

Ke$ha released a statement upon checking into rehab, admitting she needed to take some time out to focus on her health.

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself but I've found it hard to practice," the statement read. "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder . . . to learn to love myself again. Exactly as I am."

Shortly after the news broke, friends of the songstress pointed the finger of blame at her long-time producer Dr Luke, real name *Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald *, who has reportedly jibed Ke$ha about her weight in the past.

A source close to the star told TMZ.com Dr Luke told the singer on a 2012 video shoot that she "looks like a f…ing refrigerator".

But Ke$ha, who signed an eight-album deal with Dr Luke when she was 18, has never publicly spoken out against the man responsible for producing some of Katy Perry, Rihanna and Pink's biggest hits.

Meanwhile friends of the Timber hit-maker say they thought she was getting in shape and didn't realise she had an eating disorder.
