Trio ready for X Factor finale

With just days to go until the winner of The X Factor is crowned, the three grand finalists are doing everything they can to prepare themselves.

Months of hard work will come to an end when Dami Im, Jai Waetford and Taylor Henderson perform for the last time tomorrow ahead of the grand final announcement on Monday night.

"I've got to try to look after my voice because we're doing many, many different songs," competition favourite Im told _The Weekend West _.

All three singers have taken to Twitter and Instagram this week to build up as much support as possible. Social media has played a huge part in the ratings-winning Seven singing competition this year, with more than an accumulated 60,000 followers on Twitter and almost 400,000 followers on Instagram between the trio.

"I remember at the start reaching 100 followers and getting excited and now I've got 115,000 followers," Henderson said.

Early favourite Waetford, 14, has the most followers on Instagram, with almost 200,000 people watching his every move.

"Instagram and Twitter are my babies," he said. "It's pretty cool to know you have everyone's support."

Im, a 24-year-old music teacher, said her fans made her feel loved. "I never thought I would become loved by so many people," she said. "I've never been the popular kid in my life ... I feel popular now."

After earning multiple standing ovations from judges Dannii Minogue, Ronan Keating, Redfoo and Natalie Bassingthwaighte and a handful of No.1 songs on iTunes, Im has emerged as the favourite to win.

Sportsbet has Im the odds-on favourite at $1.45, followed by Waetford on $3.75 and Henderson trailing behind at $5.

However, she would not be where she is today if it was not for Perth's Matt Gresham, who left the competition, allowing Im to be welcomed back at the Home Visits stage.

"It's really mind-blowing when I think about it," Im said.

"So many things happened that if one of it didn't happen, I wouldn't be here."

After landing in the bottom two with Third D3gree last week despite having a number one song on iTunes, Henderson, 20, is the dark horse of the competition.

British X Factor superstars One Direction and US pop queen Katy Perry will perform at the grand final shows, which are expected to pull in more than two million viewers.
