Police are appealing for public help to identify a man who grabbed a female jogger in Carine last night.

The attack on the 35-year-old woman happened as she was running on Carine Open Space at about 7pm.

Police say a man driving a white vehicle, similar to a Holden Rodeo utility, pulled up and parked on the verge on Monyash Road and walked towards the woman as she jogged.

It is alleged he grabbed at the woman and put his hand across her mouth as they passed each other.

The man ran off and got into his vehicle after the woman struggled and began screaming. He was last seen driving north on Monyash Road.

The alleged offender is thought to be aged in his 20s, with fair skin, about 173cm tall, a stocky build, dark hair and stubble beard.
