What are these people doing?
People have expressed anger over bystanders taking selfies of themselves witnessing the ongoing siege at Sydney's Martin Place.
While a gunman is holding an unconfirmed number of people hostage inside a Lindt café at Sydney's Martin Place, these people seem to be enjoying the horrific drama.
The images have been heavily criticised on social media.
The siege has been going on since 10 am and five people have since then managed to escape.
The faces of customers and workers were pressed against the windows of the cafe while they were forced to hold up what is believed to be an Islamic State flag.
Several buildings in the area around Martin Place have been evacuated, while police are working on freeing all the hostages safely.
