Bikies arrested over alleged Muay Thai assault

Seven members of the Comanchero motorcycle gang have been charged after the alleged assault of two men at a Muay Thai fight in Madeley this month.

Police allege that on November 15 a 38-year-old mad was confronted by members of the Comancheros as he was leaving the Kingsway Sporting Complex.

He was punch and kicked until he fell and the assault continued as he lay on the ground.

Another man tried to step between the attackers and the victim but he was himself assaulted.

Both men received significant head injuries requiring medical treatment.

Yesterday police searched houses in Warnbro, Byford, Stirling, Clarkson, Medina, Mirrabooka and East Perth as part of the investigation into the assault.

A 28-year-old from Warnbro, a 36-year-old from Byford, a 39-year-old from Clarkson, a 20-year-old from Mirrabooka, a 37-year-old from Medina, a 28-year-old from Stirling and a 26-year-old from East Perth were all charged with acts causing bodily harm or danger.

Among the charged were the state commander, sergeant at arms, patched members and nominee members of the Comancheros.

They were remanded in custody and will appear in the Joondalup Magistrate's Court this morning.
