Driver runs from car v house
A man who drove a Holden Commodore through the lounge room of a house in Wanneroo ran away from the crash scene this morning.
WA Police say the car was being driven south-east along Frederick Street around 2.15am when the driver lost control.
The Commodore crossed over a median strip on to the wrong side of the road before hitting a letter box, brick pillar and then travelled into the lounge room of the house causing extensive damage.
A woman was in the house at the time but was not hurt.
"The male driver of the vehicle and the only occupant ran from the scene," a police spokeswoman said.
Emergency workers from the SES and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services also attended and removed the car from the house.
Police will conduct further inquiries into the incident.
