Another snake bite victim airlifted

A 30-year-old woman has become the third person in less than a week to be airlifted out of Moora for a snake bite.

The woman was flown to Perth as a precaution via the Royal Flying Doctor Service this afternoon.

She is in a stable condition at Royal Perth Hospital.

Two boys, aged 8 and 3, were airlifted to Perth on Sunday and Monday respectively after they were bitten by snakes near Moora, 175km north of Perth.

A 41-year-old man died in Laverton last week after he was bitten by a brown snake on October 8.

The man failed to seek medical attention and collapsed about 45 minutes after he was bitten.

Paramedics unsuccessfully tried to revive him.

The man’s death was WA's first reported fatal snake bite since 2010.
