Minogue loses another X Factor act
X Factor mentor Dannii Minogue could soon have no artists to coach after losing her second act in as many weeks on the reality singing show.
Minogue, who is coaching the boy and girl bands, lost male trio Younger Than Yesterday on Monday night's second live elimination episode.
Younger Than Yesterday's demise follows the departure of girl trio Trill on last week's first elimination show.
Having started the live elimination rounds with more acts than fellow coaches Ronan Keating, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Redfoo, Minogue now only has two singing groups remaining.
The other three judges all have three acts remaining on the Seven Network series.
Worst for Minogue was that on Monday's show, her two acts had the lowest number of viewer votes.
That forced female quartet XOX to take on Younger Than Yesterday in the sudden-death sing-off.
Oddly, the judges voted out the band they actually pieced together, after boot camp, from the solo artists.
Keating, Redfoo and Bassingthwaighte were unanimous in their decision to send Younger Than Yesterday home.
If there is any consolation for Minogue, it's that one of her other two remaining acts had the highest charting song, of all X Factor artists, on the Australian iTunes chart.
On Monday, Brothers3 were 28th on the download chart with their rendition of Always On Mind.
Their success prompted Minogue to tweet: "Brothers3 have the highest iTunes chart position" on Monday.
The reigning X Factor champion Dami Im, who was coached by Minogue, was holding down 15th place on same iTunes chart with her new single Gladiator.
Although the way Minogue's acts are being discarded, Minogue may not even have an act to cheer for in the grand final.
