Perth middleweight boxer Wes Capper has chalked up a second win in the United States.

Unbeaten Capper, now 6-0, scored a first-round TKO win over American Shane Gierke on a club show in North Carolina. Gierke (5-32-2) has just one victory in his last 17 fights.

Capper, who is now concentrating on boxing after previously splitting his time with kick-boxing and mixed martial arts, won in Las Vegas in April.

He followed that up with an eight-round points defeat of Steven Ma in Perth in June.
