Lorde is set to have the first single in the latest Hunger Games movie album - and she'll curate the movie soundtrack.
The 17-year-old Kiwi Grammy Award winner said she'd already written the first single with producer Joel Little, and urged her fans to "be ready".
"I am so pleased and proud to have been announced the sole creator of the soundtrack for Mockingjay - Part 1," she tweeted.
Lorde's job involves her picking artists for the album, which is due to be released in the next couple of months.
"Curating the soundtrack for such a hotly anticipated film was a challenge but I jumped at the chance," she said in a press release. "I think the soundtrack is definitely going to surprise people."
Director Francis Lawrence described what she had done as "truly remarkable" and said her song completely captured the film's essence.
