A man was allegedly stabbed at a taxi rank in Fremantle after an altercation early this morning.

A police spokeswoman said the incident took place while several people waited for at a taxi rank on Henderson Street in Fremantle around 4.20am.

The spokeswoman said a 24-year-old Mandurah man was taken to Fremantle Hospital for treatment of a minor stab wound.

A 26-year-old Yangebup man was helping police with their inquiries.

Anyone who was in the area at the time who may have any information on this incident, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
