A Byford woman has been sexually assaulted at knife-point outside her home.

About 9.30pm on June 21, a 42-year-old woman was woken by her dogs barking outside her bedroom.

The woman went outside to find two males near her roller door, both fled on foot.

The woman then went around the side of the house where she was confronted by a third man.

The man approached her from behind and pushed her to the ground.

The offender then threatened her with a knife before sexually assaulting her.

The woman called police and received medical treatment for minor injuries.

The offender is described as fair skinned, in his late twenties to early thirties, approximately 168cm tall with a fat build, black curly collar length hair and a goatee beard.

He was wearing a black hooded-top and jeans, dark motor cross type gloves and in possession of a knife.
